We took the express train from Hong Kong airport which was £35 (see Hong Kong blog post to be published soon) for unlimited access for 3 days (plus return airport express tickets) which was pretty decent. There was onboard wifi, charging points for phones and laptops, with comfortable seating, so it was quite a nice journey to Royal Pacific Hotel and Towers.
We arrived at the hotel after a comfortable and fast journey of only 20-30 minutes. One of the unique features of the hotel is that you have direct access to the express train and ferry towards Macau. It is an elegant building with palm trees gently swaying in the breeze out front. We were greeted by the reception staff and the doormen helped us with our luggage.
We were taken up towards our room and given a tour around the Royal Pacific Hotel and Towers. I was struck by how large and spacious the hotel was with a great view of the harbour. Inside the hotel there is a huge reception area which is beautifully decorated with stylish sculptures, artwork, chic lounge chairs, fashionable drinks cabinet, wide open spaces and warm lighting.
Location/Design
The hotel is in the centre of the Kowloon business district, surrounded by tourist attractions and popular restaurants. Viewing the outside of the building is an impressive experience, with an Eastern Modern Style. The building it appears impressive and futuristic. Being next to the harbour – there is excellent transport to nearby Macau for visitors. With connection to the MTR Station there’s also excellent connection to the rest of Hong Kong, which makes it an ideal place to stay and visit Hong Kong whether it is for pleasure or business.
Suite
We were booked into the luxury suite on the 21st floor, and were shown our room by first taking the chic elevator ride which was smooth, silent and swift. Have a look at a video of the room.
It was such fun staying in the room. There was a really lovely welcome present of chocolates with a bowl of cherries and a nice glass of champagne waiting for us. I got quite excited when I realised that the room came with an additional smart phone which you could take with you and use! No need to pay additional charges – all inclusive with the room and also functioned as pocket wifi. The room looked out on to the harbour, which is really peaceful, beautiful and at night quite a magical experience. From the building next door you can see the turquoise lighting of the water reflecting outwards. There was plenty of storage for our clothing and belongings (more space than we had items) and it came with an impressive wall mounted TV and sofa. The bathroom was gigantic with a separate bath and shower.
Facilities
We had exclusive access to the Business and Club Lounge, located on the 19th floor. Modern and exclusive it is a welcome space both for relaxing, drinking, eating, and business dinners. It is equipped with excellent Wi-Fi, all day refreshments and all you can eat Buffet!
There’s also some really cool cocktails which are professionally mixed by the bartender staff.
If you want to make sure you keep fit whilst away, then you will not be disappointed by the Gym facilities. Available 24 hours a day, it is extremely well equipped with cardio machines, free weights, and strength-based exercise machines. However, if you want to exercise outdoors the hotel is also close by to Kowloon Park and the harbour front. You can often find joggers and runners taking this route as they keep fit.
Dining
Hong Kong is full of amazing culinary experiences and wonders, and this is not lost on the hotel. There are three main restaurants located with the hotel which have their own unique style. There is the Pier Side Restaurant and Bar, which offers contemporary Australian meals which rich flavours and tasty ingredients. As the name suggests, it overlooks Victoria Harbour which is a great place to see the sun setting.
There is also the Satay Inn, which offers Singapore style dishes with selections such as Hainanese Chicken, Bak Kut The, Beef Rendang, and Chilli Crab (makes my mouth water!). Café on the Park offers all day dining with live cooking stations, meats, vegetables, sushi and a wide range of international cuisine. (see blog post to be published soon)
There is the Park Deli which is more of a café, but offers excellent coffee and pastries if you are on the go!
Service
When it comes to service, all staff was impeccable. We were treated like VIP like everyone else. You can just feel the aura when you get here. Those little things makes you feel special and theyve aced it.
Conclusion
Overall Royal pacific Hotel and Towers is a top place stay in Hong Kong, for excellent service, comfort, food and location. It has such been a really fun and fantastic experience and I hope to visit again. Next stop, here we come!
